618 Restaurant in Freehold, NJ: The Wedding of Tatiana & Fouad
How did you and your partner meet?
Almost ten years ago I was taking classes at Middlesex County College (to offset how expensive my classes at Rutgers were). While at MCC I was the editor of our student life magazine where we had a casting call for models. I saw Fouad & basically forced him to sign up. Then I took it a step further & asked him to write down his number so I could “contact him later” ...stalk lolz Little did I know we were already friends on Facebook. So I messaged him to confirm we actually met in person & just talked to him for a few days before I asked him on a date.
When did you first know he / she was "the one?"
I said I love you first, about three months into our relationship. We could hang out & have a good time, talk about the most random topics in the news or history, but also just sit in silence. Being able to connect on all layers is not something you find everyday.
How did he / she propose?
We were in DC visiting my best friend Megan (she will be at the wedding). My other best friend Anthony (also attending) came down as well. We go every year to see her for the last five or so years. Every visit we pick a night to do a fancy dinner. We have a favorite italian spot Sette Osteria. We get dressed up & have a good meal. Mid meal we are just chatting & Fouad asks me to look at my Facebook. Weird but after a few questions I look. It shows that he is now engaged to me. (This is how he “asked” me to be his girlfriend, by just updating Facebook in hopes I would not decline lolz). I look back up at him & see him holding the ring. I cried, an ugly cry with a few curse words in shock lolz but said yes none the less.
