We adore weddings at the Palace. Aside from the gorgeous setting, the staff at the Palace is always kind and professional. Having support like that through a wedding day makes such a huge difference. Plus, the way they spotlight a first dance? ::chef’s kiss:: And the food is bountiful and delicious all night long. We are always excited when we can add a Palace day to our calendar!
How did you and your partner meet?
Our high school best friends were dating and introduced us and that was that! 15 years ago :)
When did you first know he / she was "the one?"
Mike: When she started cooking steaks on the grill! and of course that she puts up with me.
Jess: He is the best dog dad around I'd say that sealed the deal for me
How did he / she propose?
We were in Philly going to see our favorite band and he proposed at the show! It was their best show ever!
How did you go about planning your ceremony?
My sister just had a fabulous Halloween-themed wedding! We used a lot of her team! I also tried to incorporate things that are very us! Death star ring box, the Marvel-themed cake topper, and lots of pictures and references to our dogs!
What are you most looking forward to?
The honeymoon! and starting a family!

Who is your officiant? How did you choose him/her?
One of our best friends! She knows I'm an anxiety-riddled mess! Taryn will make the ceremony amazing and personal!
What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony?
Our amazing flower men and of course being with our families
Why did you choose the ceremony and reception locations?
We fell in love with the food and amenities at the palace!!! The terrace is perfect for our ceremony, if it rains the inside setup is just as beautiful!
How would you describe your reception theme?
I went with a lot of navy and blush, we want our wedding to be beautiful and fun for all! We are very excited about all the food and themed specialty drinks.
What inspired you when you were planning your wedding?
We tried to incorporate things we care about into most things! We wanted to have a modern fun vibe! and lots of Etsy!!
Were there specific blogs / websites / apps / resource materials you found useful during your planning process?
Etsy! Zola was helpful as well.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
Seeing everything come together and how supportive our friends and families have been.
What was the worst part of the planning process?
Buying a house in the middle of it!
Are there any DIY details you’d like to tell us about?
Obsessed with the little "doggy bags" for our guests who have 4 legged kids at home!
What food are you most looking forward to on the wedding reception menu?
Have you seen this menu?! All of the food looks amazing! From cocktail hour-dessert, we can't wait!!!

What is the first dance song? Father/daughter or mother/son dance?
Jess and Ralph: Jethro Tull - Reasons for Waiting- we are fans and go see them together! It’s very fitting for us!
Mike and Lynn: Rascall Flat's - My Wish - Is a perfect song for us, we're both country fans and after some searching this one is perfect!
What advice do you have for other couples in the midst of planning a wedding?
Don’t drive yourself crazy over details no one’s going to remember, no one knows the details except you!

Have fun planning!!!
If you had it to do over again, is there anything you would do differently?
Not a damn thing

Seeing all our friends and family together!
