What advice do you have for other couples in the midst of planning a wedding?

Keep it yours and don’t be afraid to do things differently. Talking with vendors beforehand gives your a good sense of their personality and if they are a good fit for your style.

Do you have any budget tips for other couples?

Ha… we did a bad job “budgeting” but I can say that at the end of it, it was worth it.

What was the best advice you were given?

To look at all your guests while standing up on the stage, alter, ect. during your ceremony and try to pay great attention so you can hold the memory. The love is overcoming.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony?

When we first got to the stage Jenna’s Uncle welcomed everyone to the wedding. Everyone in the crowd stood on their feet and cheered like it was a championship game. I had never seen anything like that at a wedding and it was awesome.

What were your vows like?

Unexpected!! Jenna’s Uncle officiated the wedding, so everything was very personalized and unique. But we had not rehearsed the vows he picked to us and had no idea they were coming. We thought we were just saying “ I do.” But we actually had much more to recite out loud… I actually think this worked better because it was a nice surprise.
