LB checking in again with another sweet engagement session. It was a destination session for us, but this couple lives local to Lake Tahoe--just a couple of hours away, in Sacramento, California.

Lake Tahoe is a particularly special spot for them. Tim's family has owned a condo on the lake for decades, and he and Sara have many wonderful memories there.

These next shots are from inside their condo. It is exactly as it was decorated when Tim's grandmother bought it during the 1970s. It was like stepping into a time capsule. I kid you not, I could have shot all day in there. Ah-mazing. I really wanted to go for a vintage photography feel with these, and used a tilt-shift lens to add some blur for a hazy, 70s atmosphere.

Not only is it their favorite getaway, but Tim actually proposed out on the dock at the lake. What, is a proposal on a secluded dock at one of the most beautiful places in the United States not romantic enough for you? Fine. Sara had never seen snowfall before. On a weekend with forecasted snow, they went up to the lake, and Tim waited until it started snowing to pop the question. That's right. Surprise proposal during her first snowfall. Excuse me while I swoon.

I really couldn't get over the beautiful landscape. Doing an engagement session at Lake Tahoe was more incredible than I could have imagined. We started lakeside by the condo, then drove up to Sand Harbor State Park for sunset.

I was so happy they were willing to climb all over the giant boulders and rocks! We got some truly amazing portraits. Hope you love them as much as I do!
