Epic Wedding at the Lake Valhalla Club
This wedding at the Lake Valhalla Club was amaaaaazing! The ladies had such incredible chemistry, and were such a blast to hang out with. We seriously laughed all day long, except for when we were crying. There tend to be a lot of emotional moments during LGBT weddings, and for us as photographers, the emotional moments make what we do so worth it. But, I mean, jumping around in a bounce house is pretty great, too.
It was so sweet to watch the little girls help the groomswoman with her shoes as she was getting ready for the first look. Also, isn't that tie killer?
It's always something to watch the transformation of the bride in the morning as she gets her hair and makeup done. The final touches are always done so delicately and with such care.
A quiet and reassuring moment with the kiddos is always welcome.
The wedding day was filled with laughs and smiles, and that almost makes the intimate and emotional moments all the more powerful. The rawness of emotion in this shot during the first look is everything.
Back to laughter! The Lake Valhalla Club is such an awesome place for photos. The rich blue water and deep green forest...perfection.
Doing the formal portraits was so fun with these ladies. Their charisma was off the charts.
The wedding party was a great group of people, and don't you love the colors of the bridesmaid dresses? The pinks and blues complimented each other so well.
This was truly a solid crew of awesome people, and look at those little ones! So much 'tude.

The ceremony was outdoors on the grounds at the Lake Valhalla club. It was perfect. Everything was perfect.

A brief moment of intimacy and quiet in a tree is a good way to remember the magnitude of the day.
A bounce house is also a good way to remember the awesomeness of the day. 😜
Love this photo because you can almost hear them collapsed, out of breath, and laughing.
Their first dance was beautiful, and the speeches were heartfelt and hilarious all at once.
The dance between the groomswoman and her father was so beautiful and touching.
But then we went right back to partying in the bounce house!!! Wooo!!
We thought this would be the shot of the day, the bride and groomswoman in a little row boat, the awesome pose. You can't beat it. Well, we were wrong.
This. This is everything. The look from the bride. The pose from the groomswoman. The dramatic light. Ev-ery-thing.
Ending the night with a paper lantern release was perfect and magical, and the warm light from them was just incredible.
