The bride enters on her father's arm. We love catching the moment when he looks over adoringly, and if we can, catching the groom between their shoulders as he takes it all in.
The ceremony took place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1115 W. Whitty Rd, Toms River, NJ 08755. It was different from the typical wedding ceremonies we see in that the guests followed along reading the scripture from a combination of traditional bibles and apps on their phones or tablets. There were certainly serious moments of quiet reflection, but also moments of laughter and joy.

We started the portrait session at the dock behind the Clarks Landing Yacht Club. It was a beautiful, sunny day.

There is a beautiful little nook at Clarks Landing Yacht Club with gorgeous furniture and books, and we knew we had to take a few portraits there.

The cocktail hour was due to open in mere minutes, but the light here was too gorgeous to pass up. We asked them to hold the doors for just a few more moments so we could take these super fast portraits of the bride. #worthit

Clarks Landing Yacht Club has the most amazing food. Their cocktail hour is epic. In our humble opinion, the true mark of a fine establishment is when they cut the grapes into small clusters so you can just pick up a little group of them and go on your merry way. This is superior to standing there and trying to rip off a branch, looking like a fool and holding up the line. Thank you, Clarks Landing, for making eating grapes so easy.
Wedding days are tough on everyone! Can't blame the kiddo for needing a nap before the reception gets going.
Clarks Landing Yacht Club is such a beauuutiful place for a wedding. The reception room is incredible and has beautiful views of the water.
Did we mention yet how great the food is at Clarks Landing? Look at that darling fruit cup! The cake is nothing to sneeze at either. Loving the beautiful, simple elegance of it.
The doors open to reveal the bride and groom, and then they begin their first dance. The fog is such an awesome touch!
The first dance began just as the sun was setting, and we were able to get some incredible backlit shots.
Ah, the parent dances. Dad was beaming with joy.
The groom's dance with his mother was an emotional one.
The parent dances always get us right in the feels. Sigh...
We took this portrait super quickly, right after the first dances ended. The bride stood next to the sweetheart table, followed our quick posing directions, and then was able to continue enjoying the evening. Like we said, the view from the reception room at Clarks Landing Yacht Club is killer.
We ducked out for some quick sunset shots. You can't help it when the sky is that gorgeous.

The reception room at Clarks Landing Yacht Club has this awesome ceiling with changing lights, and it really makes for an incredible atmosphere.
